Convert Date format in OS "Short Date"

Greetings,

I develope an Office Add-In in VB.

I have read many postings to convert a date format to another, but I have not found a function to convert the date to the date Format, what Setting in the Operation System.

e.g.

Is in the OS in "Region and Language" the "Short date "M/d/yyyy" the function return "12/27/2013"

Is "yyyy-MM-dd" the return is "2013-12-27"

So I need a function the return the current date Format wherever for a language the user have installed.
