For a (Word) template I have developed a custom ribbon with lots of controls. I would like to be able to control how the groups are resized for different screen widths.
I have followed the descriptions on this site: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd316927(v=vs.85).aspx in the windows dev center, but to no avail. The guide mentions "CommandName" for each contol, not "id" or "label" or any of the other code in the Office ribbon XML. Also the CustomUIEditor shows errors when validating the XML code.
Is it at all possible to control resizing of custom ribbons in Office and if it is possible, how do I implement it in my ribbon?
